Whole30 – Day 3

I definitely have carb flu. I still have a headache, I’m vaguely nauseated, I’m tired and I’m less patient than usual. Also I have a certain amount of brain fog that is making me feel slow.

Some more pretty strong cravings for junk today but I didn’t go there. I find that the thing I miss most so far is Pepsi Max. We used to have a glass or two at night after the kids are in bed and drinking water at that time just isn’t cutting it. I’m going to try having some fruit / herbal tea in the evening to shake things up and see if that helps.

I’ve been hungry a lot today. I woke up very hungry and feel like that’s been the mood for the day. I’ve just finished eating dinner and I still feel hungry, even though I know that I can’t actually be hungry.

Ok, it’s a bit later now and I’m not hungry anymore. I still want something to eat though. It’s time for some tea!

Here’s today’s food diary:

2 boiled eggs mashed with a little ghee, salt and pepper.

Leftovers from last night’s prawn salad.

6 small strawberries.

Wild-caught salmon with lime, ginger and coriander dressing, boiled new potatoes tossed in ghee with garlic and Italian Herb Seasoning, and sugar snap peas.

2.5 cups black coffee
5 glasses water
1 cup black currant burst tea.

  1. Your salmon recipe sounds delicious! Keep with it – I have recently gone gluten free and I am finding these first 2 weeks really hard but blogging helps, no? 🙂
